My heartfelt sympathies go out to Darlene's (AKA "Chica") family and to all who knew her. It's not easy to say goodbye to such a gem and incredible person. Her beauty was just as much inside as it was out. She loved her family so much, and never stopped treating me as such. Good memories together when she and Peter came to Rosie’s wedding. I am so sorry Peter and Arielle for your loss.

Darlene was kind and fun to be with, even with the distance between us it was as if we just saw each other. She will be missed.

20 years ago, I worked with Darlene and another girl,  Shannon Thorsby-Burton (later Cade). The three of us had a blast together!  Darlene was incredibly sweet, and funny.  I have read a lot of comments on Facebook and see the word “kind” often being used to describe her, and it is very fitting.  She was a kind soul.  I will always remember her smile, and the joy she had when talking about her kids.  

Shannon has also passed on.  I hope Darlene and Shannon are laughing and giggling together.  Gone too soon. RIP my friends.

I have the pleasure of knowing Peter, her son, since he and my daughter became friends in Boca Raton, attended UCF together and now roommates in Orlando.  Peter, the Silverstein family is truly heartbroken and we send you and your family our love.

 Nicole always speaks so fondly and highly of your mom.  I felt so blessed and grateful that your mother treated her like family.  I know her passing is a huge loss to Nicole as well. 

I didn’t know your mom but I see what her love and guidance has given the world thru you  - a wonderful, kind, funny, intelligent, and caring son who is loved by many.   Our condolences for you and your family and prayers for comfort during this seemingly unimaginable time.

Darlene had the most beautiful heart and soul, radiated kindness and confidence, and was one of the strongest women I’ve ever met. She always made everyone feel at home when they were with her. One of my most favorite memories was celebrating the holiday with her and her family, and she pulls me out to the dance floor to join in. Smiling and laughing together we danced! 
She is all around us in music, dancing, food, wine, and smiles. I am thankful to have known and loved her. I am sending my sincerest condolences to her family. I love you, Darlene! Rest easy, until we meet again ❤️

I will miss Darlene.  I work at GMS and had the pleasure of talking to Darlene almost everyday.   Darlene worked at our Boca office and I am in the East Hanover office.   She always made me laugh.

Darlene is with the Angels now and shining her heavenly light upon us all.

I have so many memories of Titi Darlene and all the fun and crazy times we had together. 
I remember  so clearly when she went into labor with Arielle, and she was in our living room chilling until it was time to go to the hospital. Eating cereal before school and hearing someone grit through the contractions is something not easily forgotten. 

I remember the endless fun times we had when we lived together, went camping, had parties and more. 

You are  so  and you are going to be so missed.  💜

Darlene was an example of what it means to be a beautiful person inside and out. Any conversation or any time you saw her, you could see how much love she carried with her. Although she may not be here any longer, that love she carried will last a lifetime here on this Earth. Sending my love and condolences to her entire family through this time. Rest in peace Darlene, and thank you for raising such a beautiful person and best friend that I find in Pedro. You will be so dearly missed🤍

Oh Darlene, sweet cousin. My memories go back to when we were all kids and our families would always be together at Christmas, New Years, parrandas, and the infamous pig roasts!  RIP dear.

Darlene treated me like I was her own family and made everyone around her feel so loved. I will remember her always when I am at the gym, hearing her say we should be at the gym for 2 hours at minimum. I will remember her always during the holidays, spreading her holiday joy to us every year by sending gifts and ornaments to hang on our tree. I will remember her always, surrounded by her furniture she gave to us and the handmade soaps she made for us. Darlene left this world, but she also left us her everlasting love. My heart goes out to the Irizarry family and friends who are hurting during this time. Sending all my love 🩷

this was back when I used to spend Thanksgiving with you guys when my mother went to Vegas and I stayed home to watch the dog.

I’ll never forget when Titi Darlene would hang the colored eggs from the tree for Easter and all the great talks we shared together. I’ll miss her dearly ❤️ love Erika
