Ethel H. Beardsworth

November 21, 1927June 28, 2018

Ethel Hanock Beardsworth, age 90, of Boca Raton FL, died on June 28, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Marion Hanock and the beloved wife of Harold T. Beardsworth for 38 years before his death in 1988. She was also predeceased by her son, Kevin.

She is survived by two remaining sons, Harold and Edward, his wife, Claudia, Kevin's wife, Karen, four grand-daughters and many nieces and nephews.

Ethel was author of the book, "Thoughts From Heaven", which relates how in the year 2000 she discovered the ability to communicate with her deceased husband.

Ethel was a member and secretary of the Connecticut State Music Teachers Association and taught piano in the Fairfield area for 18 years as well as helping to manage the family music store, Professional Music Center. She was Director and Choreographer of "The Black Rock Tapettes", a senior tap-dance group which performed for several years at Kutcher's Resort in New York and in the Fairfield County area from 1989 to 2000.

After moving to Florida she joined "The Original Florida Follies", a well-known Charitable senior theatrical performing group that had, in the course of 18 years, donated over $850,000 to Children-in-Need. After this organization closed in April 2018, she was instrumental in helping to create a new performing group, The New Florida Follies, whose goal is the same - helping Children-In-Need.

Ethel was a dynamic force in her family and an inspiration to her friends. Her kindness and thoughtfulness will be missed by all who knew her.

Donations may be made in her name to: The New Florida Follies, c/o Mary Cook, 7140 Paramount Drive, Lake Worth, FL 33467.

So sorry for your loss. We will miss her so so much at the New Florida Follies for who she is and all she did.
I danced with Ethel for four years usually by her side for we are the same height.
Always enjoyed her humor and kindness. You will remain in our hearts and thoughts Ethel.
