Forti (Foster) Bardu Muzea was born on March 19, 1935, to Pandely and Anghelina in Webster, Massachusetts. He grew up surrounded by a loving family alongside his three close-knit brothers, Vasil (Jimmy), Dina (Tommy), and George. Together, they shared a passion for family, sports, card games, and laughter, and often spent their time in the YD Diner next to their family home. In his youth, Foster was the star pitcher of his baseball team, known for his strong fastball. His enthusiasm for sports extended far beyond the field, as he remained a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and Boston Celtics, and later the Miami Dolphins - his three favorite teams.
Foster was a first-generation college graduate earning his master’s degree and achieving many remarkable milestones including serving his country in the Army, founding Broward County's budgeting structure, teaching accounting, and many others. He was a widely respected leader who dedicated himself to mentoring and advocating for others. Patient, wise, caring, and supportive, he was often sought out for his thoughtful guidance and sound advice.
After moving to North Miami in 1969, Foster met the love of his life, Peggy. They were married on June 18, 1976, beginning a partnership built on unwavering love and shared adventures. For over fifty years, they lived a life devoted to one another and to their family. Together, they settled in Boca Raton, where they raised their two daughters, Angela and Michelle, whom he adored.
His family grew to include his sons-in-law, Michael and Brian, and four beloved grandchildren: Logan, Skyler, Ryan, and Foster. As a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Foster was a steady source of wisdom, encouragement, tenderness, and unconditional love. Whether offering career advice, teaching us how to fish, cheering from the sidelines, or sharing a quiet Sunday dinner, he brought comfort and warmth to those around him.
Family was at the heart of Foster’s life and was reflected in everything he did, from the cherished photographs that filled his home to the delicious meals he lovingly prepared. His infectious laughter and warm smile brought comfort, joy, and a deep sense of belonging to everyone fortunate enough to know him.
The lessons and values he shared will remain with all those whose lives he touched. His intelligence was evident not only through his extensive personal library but also through the way he approached life. He encouraged others to live with honesty, integrity, and purpose. A man of his word, he stood firmly for what was right and treated others with fairness and respect.
Foster also knew how to make people laugh. He delighted in telling jokes, playfully teasing his brothers, family, and friends, and wearing shirts and hats that brought smiles to those around him. Even on his final day, June 14, 2026, at home and surrounded by loved ones, Foster wore a smile on his face, a reflection of a life filled with love, laughter, and purpose.
His legacy lives on in the way we care for one another, in the stories we’ll tell for years, and in the love he poured into every one of us.
