Joanne, should you ever make it back here, I just found this and am so sorry to see it.  At this late date I have prayed for you all and that you are doing well nearly 10 years on.

I served with Greg in Thailand and his smile and friendly personality was so warm and inviting.   I rarely saw him with a serious look on his face.  He'd been to Thailand many times and he was almost fluent in the language. We were both stationed at Davis-Monthan in the early 70's and  served TDY to U-Tapao Thailand together.  I have always considered him a dear friend and I was shocked to discover he'd passed on.  May God hold him close.  the world lost an excellent man.

On the 9th, it will be 6 years.  Seems like yesterday, sometimes seems like forever.  I miss you so much.  Damn that Vietnam war, damn that Agent Orange. We were supposed to have 50 years together.  I love you forever and ever.

Just found out about Greg's passing. Greg and I served in the 350th SRS aboard the DC 130. I was also his roommate for a time in Tucson and loved to ride motorcycles with him...May he rest in peace, my condolences on your loss

There are many memories I can write about, two come to mind. The first was when you were stationed in Vietnam. We would gather the family and make a cassette tape to send to you, one time we made the tape like the old "Mission Impossible Show" you know, "this tape will self destruct in 10 seconds ending" I was only in grade school then, but I was so proud of you, and to have you serving our country.
The second memory was when you came home on one of your breaks. You brought with you the first computer I had ever seen. It was from Radio Shack and it was as large as a apartment refrigerator. I thought you were so cool...I still do. I will love and miss you big brother. Love, Jeannie

 A piece of the wheel is missing now. A spoke has fallen off the wheel of our family and life will never go around smoothly as it has before. The memories that you left with me will forever be with me. The grandkids will always miss you. Those afternoon movies or ice cream with you will be missed by them. I will forever miss our after dinner billiard games. I also don't know who Jen is going to call when I'm on shift to upgrade things around the house. I could type for hours on what we have done and what you have taught me. Most importantly I think you taught me chivalry never dies. Take car of the women, always stand when they enter a room and never let them open a door. Thanks for putting up with me. You were a hero for our country, your girls, your grandkids and me. Dear Grandpa, I will miss all of the fun times we had. I will miss riding rollercoasters, seeing movies, going shooting and so much more. The last memory I have is a couple weeks ago when you suprised me and took me to buy a new computer for college, which I will forever cherish. The fact that you called me the day of your death saddens me, but also makes me very happy that I got to hear your voice one last time. I will miss you and always love you.
