Born in Portchester, NY, Greg grew up in Norwalk, CT where he spent most of his time playing little league baseball throughout his youth as well as community leagues. He retained close ties to his many friends in Norwalk. His favorite times were spent with Don, Billy, Gerald, Andy, David and Jimmy, his closest friends. Later, after moving to South Florida, he became a very successful executive salesman in the industrial paper industry. He participated in collector car shows and won trophies showing his vintage 1969 Chevy SS.
Greg loved spending time with his family and traveling. Some of the many trips spent each summer with his wife and children were his happiest times. He loved the outdoors and mountains as well as spending time on the water. He was also a very giving person who spent many hours planning and being involved with community charities and fundraisers. Greg was an avid sports fan and loved following his favorite teams, the Jets and Mets as well as the Giants. In addition to watching sports, he played community softball and men's basketball as well as swimming and biking.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan and his children Gregory and Ashley. Greg is also survived by his parents Joseph and Rosalie Santoro of Ridgefield, CT, brothers, Scott (Susan) Santoro of Delray Beach, FL, Glenn (Savuan) Santoro of Ridgefield, CT and their families as well as his uncle Ralph Santoro and partner, Fran of Hendersonville, NC.
Mother in-law, Patricia Livingston of Plantation, FL, sister in-law Elaine Livingston of Independence, KY, brothers in-law, William Livingston of Stuart, FL and James (Stacey) Livingston of Midlothian, VA as well as his niece and many nephews. He will be greatly missed and is now at peace with the Lord.
A celebration of life will be held on Greg's birthday, Thursday, September 17th, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
