Jim and I shared a moment that will be forever a staple in my life.  
In the mid 90's Jim and I earned a trip to the Champion Solutions Groups â€œPresidents Clubâ€, a prestigious award for the most elite salespeople and top contributors to the our company's success.
This Club Trip to Costa Rica is an experience that I will never forget.  
After we arrived at our destination along the coast in Costa Rica, Jim and I preceded to go straight through the plush landscape and head towards the beach.  This is when we both witnessed something I will remember forever.  We both gazed upon meters of white sand leading to a crystal clear blue ocean with a backdrop of two breathtaking islands. 
Then our eyes caught two beautiful full grown horses running bareback along the beach with their riders.  Jim and I both turned to each other and at the exact time said these words â€œ ,I think we have died and gone to heavenâ€.
He is family and he is the real KANG!

In August 1979, I moved to Boca from Connecticut, with my Mom, brother and Grandmother to start a new life after my parent's divorce.  It was a very difficult time, but before the moving vans were out of my driveway, Jim appeared on his bmx bike.
On that day we became best friends and from that day forward, he never left my life.  He became part of our family quickly and he loved my mom and brother Dave as if they were his own.  
I was in the right place at the right time to make a friend that would change my life.  Jim was an expert at being a friend.  He was committed, and  loyal to the end.   Having an unconditional friendship, at that early age was a  true gift.  
Jim lit up a room and we all know that a party was not a party unless Jim was there.  He brought so many of us together over the years.  He was the anchor and core of our group.  He made us laugh, endlessly, and was  truly the funniest person I have ever known.  His gift of humor was a true blessing, one that we were the beneficiaries of.
He was passionate about fishing,  cooking, and especially music, whether it was Lynard Skynard's Free Bird,  Aerosmith or Michael Jackson, he loved it all.    He knew how to have fun like no one else.  If only these strengths and attributes, translated into the good health and long life, he deserved to have. 
Most importantly, Jim will be remembered as a committed friend.   Jim's legacy will continue and he will be remembered.  Jim taught us that being a good friend matters.  It's an art,  and Jim was the master of his craft.  He was my friend of a lifetime.  

The James  "Jimbo" Fore memorial scholarship fund is currently being established.  Anyone interested in being on the selection committee, is welcome to participate.  We will meet annually to select recipients of the scholarship at Bru's Room.

Jim Fore, thank you for almost getting in a fist fight with me the first time we met, thank you for all the vats of chili, meatball and steak stew that you made while we came over to watch NASCAR races or Dolphins games, thank you for blasting Motley Crue from your home stereo, thank you for all the laughs, thank you for giving me your signed Nicko McBrain drum skin when you found out that Iron Maiden is my favorite band of all ages, thank you for singing Lynyrd Skynyrd & "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd while I played them on acoustic guitar.

In short, thank you.  You are missed Sir and I do wish you were here.

My words cannot properly express the shock, sorrow and heavy heart I have had since I learned of Jim's passing today. I have been removed from South Florida for nearly 3 years but Jim and I still kept in close contact during that time.
I met Jim in 2003 and he became a fast friend. He helped me out in many ways when I was going through a most difficult period in my life and I shall always be grateful for his support and kindness during that time. In the subsequent years, Jim and I were the best of friends and we had great fun together. Jim introduced me to fishing in the Keys, his musical favorites including Motley Crue, his close friends and countless other enjoyable times. Jim helped me reenergize my life and without him I would have been lost.
His passing leaves a tremendous void in my life unlike any I have ever experienced. 
My most heartfelt and deepest sympathy goes out to his family.
I will forever miss my best friend.

I had the privilege of having Jim as a friend for 18 years.  He was truly one of a kind.  Always made me laugh.  I am going to miss him a lot.  Every time I look at Tiki, his beloved Chihuahua, I think of the great times and laughter we shared.
