James William Gualtieri, son of Vincenzo and Maria Gualtieri, was born May 1930 in Pennsylvania. He moved to Miami in 1949, one day after graduating from high school. He served in US Navy during the Korean Conflict and attended the University of Miami. He retired from Florida Power & Light after 42 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over sixty years and an usher at St Joan of Arc parish for twenty-five years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of 59 years, three children: James(Kathleen), Jeannine(Dean), Jack(Elizabeth), and his five grand children, Cecilia, Katrina, Kerri, James Anthony and Juliette. He was devoted husband and father, enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, gardening, traveling, and good wine and good food.
