September 2, 1955 – November 3, 2026
James Richard Ottaviani, known to family and friends as Jamie, passed away on November 3, 2026, at the age of 71.
Born on September 2, 1955, in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Jamie lived a life filled with laughter, friendship, and a love for the people closest to him.
Jamie and his wife, Toni, shared more than 37 years of marriage, filled with memories, laughter, and the many friendships they built along the way.
Jamie retired from Boca Raton Water Utilities, where he served as a supervisor. He brought his knowledge, experience, and strong work ethic to his career.
An avid golfer, Jamie loved spending time on the golf course, traveling, enjoying good food and wine, and cheering on his Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins. He also had a special love for dogs and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Jamie was incredibly social, quick-witted, and always ready with a joke or a little good-natured teasing. He had an amazing mind and an uncanny ability to remember facts about almost anything including some wonderfully random and completely useless information that somehow always made everyone laugh. Whether sharing a story, debating sports, or giving someone a hard time, Jamie had a way of making ordinary moments memorable.
Jamie was blessed with an incredible circle of friends, many of whom became like family, sharing countless rounds of golf, celebrations, travels, and unforgettable memories. He especially treasured the close friendship he shared with his longtime best friend, Jeff Kairis, and Jeff’s wife, Helen.
Above all, Jamie will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor, his sharp mind, his generous heart, and the special way he connected with people. His presence could light up a room, and the laughter and memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Jamie is survived by his wife, Toni; his sister, Beverly Ottaviani, and brother, Buster Ottaviani; his sisters-in-law, Andrea Corsi and Nancy Lee Ottaviani and her husband Bob; his brother-in-law, Jesse Corsi Jr., and his wife, Louise; and his in-laws, Jesse Sr. and Janis Corsi.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Craig Ottaviani and his wife, Rose; Brian Ottaviani and his wife, Kiley; Joe Corsi and his wife, Kingsley; and Cheriee DiGiovine and her husband, Bob; along with his great-nieces and great-nephews, Ava, Italina, Giada, Ryan and Crew.
Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, Phil and Pat Ottaviani.
While Jamie’s passing leaves an immeasurable void, his family and friends will forever cherish the laughter, love, stories, and memories he leaves behind.
In true Jamie fashion, we can almost hear him telling us not to make such a big fuss and then giving us a hard time for doing it anyway.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. ❤️
There will be a celebration of life scheduled in 2027. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tri-County Animal Rescue in Boca Raton, Florida, in honor of Jamie’s love for dogs.
