Jason and Angela made an effort to welcoming our family into their lives. They fed us heaps of food and prescribed our hearts with joy in times where we were raped of happiness. I’ll never forget how Jason contributed to this- a comedian who was shameless, proud of who he was, and an amazing father who stood by his children no matter what. To all the Brunelles extended family and friends, I am terribly sorry for your loss. For, my sister Jaylimar and her husband Gabriel, the newly wedded, I’m so sorry deeply for your loss. And for Andrew and Angela, words cannot express how deeply sorrowful I am that you had to go through this. My deepest condolences. May Jason rest peacefully in the arms of whatever lies beyond us, that hopefully has lots of fishing and hunting for him in the afterlife.

In Loving Memory of Jason Brunelle
I cannot begin to describe the immense loss and grief I feel for Jason and his family. When things became difficult at the start of COVID back in 2021, Jason and his family opened their home and their hearts to me without hesitation.
I learned that he had walked through similar hardships in his own life, yet he remained steadfast in making light of things and sharing fun stories to lift everyone up. Jason was a giant bear of a man—fiercely loving, deeply caring, and always with a wonderful spark of spitfire in him.
I will forever be blessed by the fact that he was the person who convinced Gabriel to keep working toward our relationship and build something truly lasting together. From giving Gabe advice on how to win over a cute girl, to welcoming me in and allowing me to become deeply intertwined with this family, Jason was always there.
Because of him, I grew to love camping and shooting—even if my introduction to guns was the double-barrel shotgun he let me try (a hilarious mistake on my end when the recoil made me pull both triggers at once!).
Jason, we all love you so very much. We will hold tight to the good habits you taught us, carry your strength forward, and forever remember your laugh. You are blessed to enter into a beautiful eternal life, and we take comfort in knowing we will see you again one day.

Jason, it is hard to put into words what you and your family have meant to Chase, and because of that, what you have meant to me.

As a mom, there is something incredibly special about knowing your child has another family who loves him, welcomes him into their home, includes him in their lives, and treats him like one of their own. Chase never looked at you as simply “Andrew’s dad.” He loved you like family and looked up to you as another father figure in his life. For that, I will be forever grateful.

Chase was so fortunate to share so many memories with your family—the outings, the countless times spent at your home, and being there for some of Andrew’s biggest moments, including watching him sign to play college football. Those weren’t just moments Chase witnessed; they became part of his own life and memories because your family made him feel like he belonged.

I also know how deeply Andrew loved and admired you. The guidance, love, support, and example you gave him helped shape the young man and incredible friend he is today. As Chase’s mom, I am so thankful for that too. Their friendship and the bond they share is something very special, and I know so much of who Andrew is comes from the father who raised and loved him.

One of the greatest gifts we can receive as parents is knowing there are other good people in this world who will love and guide our children when we aren’t there. Jason, you were one of those people for my son.

My heart breaks for Andrew and your entire family, and it breaks for Chase because I know he feels as though he has lost someone who was truly part of his family. But I am so thankful that he had you to love, learn from, laugh with, and look up to.

Thank you for loving my son. Thank you for welcoming him into your family. And thank you for raising a son who has become such an important part of ours. Andrew is more than another friend in Chase's life, he's another son.

You were deeply loved, Jason, and you will be deeply missed.

Angela and family, I am so, so sorry for your loss. I’m sure he will be missed by all. Think of the happy times and special moments you celebrated with this great person. My love and prayers.

I was so sorry to hear about Jason. I always enjoyed his stories about his childhood having horses and his hunting stories. I pray one day your family finds peace. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
