Jeff was a man of faith who was very devoted to his family. He loved both his immediate and extended family. He moved to Florida from Iowa right after graduating high school. Jeff was a hard-driven man of ambition and built his own company - Hawkeye Pavers. He was a professional and loved what he did and took great pride in his work and craftsmanship. Jeff lived a full and happy life outside of work with many hobbies including golfing, being an excellent pool shooter and bowler as well as a die-hard Vikings football fan, and greatly enjoyed watching games with his Viking buddies. Being a loving father he was always involved in Jason and Katie's lives and volunteered at church for youth fellowship and mission trips. He greatly enjoyed being a coach for all of Jason's Little League and West Boca Youth Baseball teams. He greatly enjoyed watching his kids grow up as well as being a father to many dogs, fish, and turtles.
More of Jeff's passions include both salt and freshwater fishing, cooking, gardening, and growing all types of vegetables especially tomatoes and hot peppers. Canning the vegetables kept him busy during the growing season and everyone loved his homemade tomato sauce, during the holidays he would also make chocolate silk pies which he often made for family, friends & neighbors. He used much of his produce in his passion for cooking, especially BBQ. Jeff loved to take road trips to historic places to immerse himself in the history of America with his family, making pit stops to search for bigfoot and the skunk ape. On his travels, he tried BBQ wherever he went and he even developed his own rating scale which he applied to every BBQ joint.
Jeff is survived by his loving wife Belinda, his children Jason Krause and Katie Frederick, mother Penny Krause and father Darrell Krause, brothers Cody Krause, Adam Krause and Jerry Krause. He is preceded in death by his brother Craig Krause.
