Joachim Joseph Benoit

Dr. Benoit was born on August 16,1945 in Gonaives, Haiti to Valmeus and Paula Benoit. He studied medicine at the University of Cordoba in Argentina where he graduated with a medical degree. In 1988, he opened his clinic, Sunrise Medical Center, located in the Little Haiti area in Miami. For over 30 years, he tirelessly dedicated his medical expertise and time with compassion to help his Haitian community.

Dr. Benoit will be remembered as a generous, witty, easygoing man who touched many lives. His smile will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his children Monique and Tamara Benoit who will always remember their father as a compassionate man who taught them to always help others in need.

We will gather to share our favorite memories of Joe or Dr. Benoit, as many people fondly remember him by, to laugh, cry, and remember a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.

This will be followed by a luncheon served in his honor.
