

Born September 8, 1948 in Erie, Pennsylvania, Brehm moved to Dallas, Texas, at the age of 5 with his family and attended Bishop Dunne and Sunset High Schools. While taking classes at UTA, Brehm began working part-time in the warehouse for furniture retailer, Levitz Furniture, a 5-store chain that pioneered the concept of warehouse-direct furniture sales. It was the start of a lifelong career in the home furnishings industry. Brehm quickly rose through the ranks, opening stores throughout the United States, to help grow the company into a 100+ store retail chain. He was VP of Merchandising when he left the company in 1995. Brehm continued working in the home furnishing industry until his retirement 3 years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Meyer and daughter, Randy Brehm of Boca Raton, Florida. His son, Scott, died in 2007.
He leaves behind brothers Jim, Chuck and Joe, sister Carol and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins living throughout Texas.
Services will be held at Babione-Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Federal Hwy., Boca Raton, Florida, on Wednesday, April 20th from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
