It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Everett Graham Sr., 70, of Boca Raton, Florida, on July 23, 2026. Born on September 8, 1955, in West Enfield, Maine, to Patricia Rose (Milheron) Graham and Everett John Graham, he and his family later moved to Patchogue-Medford on Long Island, New York, where he spent most of his childhood.
John will be remembered for his playful spirit and sense of humor and his love for his family and beloved pup Bailey. He had an engineer’s mind and could fix anything. He turned his interest in cars into a long career as a technician at Toyota. He also loved airplanes so much that he received his pilot’s license. He later worked at AT&T for decades, where both his sons followed in his footsteps.
When he moved to Delray Beach, Florida, in 1978, the Atlantic Avenue bridge fascinated him. After 45 years of saying that someday he’d like to be a drawbridge operator on the intracoastal, in 2024 he accepted an offer at Hillsboro Inlet to do just that, and had so much fun raising and lowering that 91-ton bridge span.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Felicia, who brought great joy to his life for twenty-four years, as well as his three children, John, Jennifer, and Micah, and grandchildren, Zachary, Penelope, and Liam. He is also survived by his step children, Deanna (Mike) and Danny (Brian), and step grandchildren, Michael, Ciara, Trinity, Elisabeth, and Mia. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Luci and Lori, and his parents.
A visitation will be held at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, FL 33428, US, on August 8, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:30 pm. A private, family-gathering will follow afterwards.
