

John Dennis O'Hara of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on Sunday, September 10th 2017 at Delray Medical Center after a long battle against cancer and sickness. John is survived by his loving wife of forty three years, Margaret and his three children Ryan, Kelli and Kam, his sister Maureen, as well as his four adoring grandchildren, Cynthia, Jeffrey, Tiffany and Alissah, and numerous extended family.
John will always be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
John was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in New Jersey on Greenwood Lake. John proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. On July 12 1975, John married his wife, Margaret. As an avid pilot, John loved aviation. After moving to Arlington Texas, and graduating from the University of Dallas, John went on to have a successful lifelong career in airport operations and aviation management at Dallas Fort Worth and eventually, Ft Lauderdale Hollywood Int. Airport. Later, John also pursued a second career in Real Estate with his daughter, Kelli. John had a passion for flying, traveling, fishing and family vacations. He adored dogs and being around family. He loved his career and had recently retired. He was a loving and supportive father to his children. He had a great sense of humor and could always make people laugh. John will be missed greatly by all who knew him.
A Memorial Service will be held at Babione Funeral Home (West Location), 10060 Calle Comercio Drive Boca Raton, FL 33428 at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 23, 2017.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may also be made to the American Cancer Society.
