

Josephine Turner passed away on July 10, 2014, just before her 96th Birthday. She was born in Passaic, NJ and resided with her family for many years in Norwood, N.J. Josephine and her husband, Col. George H. Turner, lived in various cities while he served in the US Army. They later retired to Boca Raton. Josephine resided in NJ and SC and prior to her passing, lived with her son, her daughter-in-law, and 2 granddaughters in High Springs, FL. She will be interred in Boca Raton, FL following a Mass of Christian Burial that will be celebrated at St. Lucy Catholic Church, 3510 S Ocean Blvd, Highland Beach, FL on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 10:00 A.M.
Josephine was predeceased by her Beloved husband “Harry” of 43 years, her brother Louis Wiatrak, and her son-in-law, Dr. Phillip DeWofle. Josephine is survived by her 2 sisters, Marie Markowski and Lauretta Batesko, her 5 children, George Turner (Susan), Barbara DeWolfe, Dr. Joan Bornstein (Henry), William Turner (Denise) and Roberta Meyer (Ronald), 10 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 2 nieces and 3 nephews.
“Jo” was an avid reader, Scrabble player, and joke teller. She enjoyed playing Bridge and other card games, and she was the ultimate elegant hostess of dinner parties. Jo loved traveling, gardening, interior decorating, watching old movies, dressing to the “nines”, yellow roses and visiting with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
