She was such an excellent piano teacher. She taught me piano in her gifted way about 45 years ago and I think of her every time I pass her street in MN. Condolences to her family and friends...

Jeanne, Rick and family. So sorry to learn of the passing of your mom. So grateful for knowing her, studying music with her, and being mentored really by this wonderful person. She was a bright light, always original, and endowed with an unnatural blessing of creativity. Hard to believe we go all the way back to South Windsor CT with my sister Ann and I embracing keyboards, mostly organ, and my dad and brother Tony figuring out the guitar. So cool we all ended up in that newspaper article about the Durig Discovery method. My mom sends her love and prayers as your mom, a bit older and wiser, was an inspiration to women of their generation for being a force for good in the community. And who can forget singing in the choir at St Margaret Mary's with your mom's organ accompaniment. She has touched the lives of so many. Speaking for my family, we offer our condolences. Speaking for me, thank you. Mrs D. you will be remebered always. With love.

Julia Durig was a beautiful person with a passion for teaching piano. 
She created a method of learning piano that made it fun,  easy and interesting.  We met through the piano but quickly became very good friends.  Her joyful, loving and strong character was precious. I'm honored to have known her because she was an amazing person who will always be in my heart.

What a great lady,  she was a real friend,  my piano teacher who got me back to playing again. Using Julia's method can turn anyone into an accomplish piano player.
I will miss Julia, She was our inspiration. My sincere condolences  to the family.
