I remember how happy and excited your mom was to have you. Remember, not to use past tense when thinking about your mom's love for you. When people leave the earth they still love, and people still here on earth love them. Your mom loves you and you don't need me to tell you that, because you already know.

Dear Kelly,

I just found out what happened to you and I'm so sad about it. I was looking for you and I came upon this site. I thought we could talk again.
Kelly I'm sad that we lost touch. I'm sad and sorry that I couldn't be there for you, even to make you smile or laugh. I was looking for you for awhile off and on and I am so sorry that I couldn't get in touch with you before. We were such good friends. I'm sorry for what happened to you. I'm sad that you didn't get a long life filled with more children and love. I hope many of your dreams came true and I wish all your dreams came true. I wish you had more time. Thank-you for being a friend of mine. I wish I was a better one, but I hope I was a good friend to you.

Kelly, though you have departed from this earth, you are truly never gone as you will always live in the hearts and memories of those who will always love you. My condolences to your family and loved ones.

One of Kelly's greatest wishes was to help find a cure for Dercum's Disease, a disease she endured for many years.

We were conceived together, 
our first existence, sharing our mother's womb. 
We took our first breath's of life 
within a minute of each other, 
slept in the same bed for many years and we shared the same room for more years than that. 
We dressed alike, one of us wearing pink, the other, blue. 
We shared books and toys, 
clothes and even, boys. 
My best friend, my sister, my twin, the other half of me. 
We've always had our own distinct personalities even though we look and sound alike. 
There have been a few circumstances in life 
that kept us apart and the loss I feel by your absence is beyond description. I feel so much less of who I am. 
When I thought of having you in my future, as we grow older, I was looking forward to us 
being crotchety old ladies, 
running our canes along fencing rails 
and poking children, scolding, saying 'Now, in my day...! ' 
On this day, 
I want her to know,I'm so glad that I've had her to share in this journey of life and you were my best friend, my sister, my twin, 
the better half of me. I will miss you, but I know you will always be watching over me. RIP Kelly

Kelly was a GREAT person who thought of and helped others. She will be missed by many people including myself but at least she is no longer in any pain. Kelly will always be watching over all her family and friends and will never be forgotten!

What a beautiful, sweat and talented lady will be missed in this world! Kelly helped to design, create and layout the format for my office. She worked with me for 6 years and brought Christian in many times to be able to spend time with him when he was out of school. What an amazing, caring and loving mother to Christian.

I will always remember Kelly's joy of song and dance, I would always be watching in awe of how she moved on the dance floor.  Kelly had such a kind heart, even in all her pain, she wanted to keep going.  She will truly be missed at the Sands family get-togethers.

We are truly saddened by the sudden loss of our niece, Kelly...a beautiful person both inside and out.

Little I knew that morning, God was going to call your name, in life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, you did not go alone, for part of me went with you, the day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same, but as God calls one by one, the chain will link again.

I remember Kelly's beautiful smile as she danced at church so many times. It feels so wrong that she is gone. She will be missed by many, but none so much as those whom she blessed with her presence and talents on a daily basis. May you have all the support and love you need to endure this tragic loss.
