

Kenneth S. Tucker, 78, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024, in Delray Beach, Florida. Born on May 13, 1946, in New York, New York, Kenneth lived a life full of love, dedication, and passion for his family and the community he served.
Kenneth studied at the University of Connecticut and Yale, going on to become a licensed mental health counselor. He founded the Center for Counseling and Development, where he served South Florida for over 40 years. In May 2003, Kenneth was awarded an honorary doctorate through the National Special Needs Network Foundation in recognition of his contributions to the field.
A prolific reader, Kenneth also co-wrote a book, Sword of the Golem, with his best friend Jeffrey Minde. Known for his unique sense of humor and generous spirit, Kenneth made a lasting impact on everyone who knew him. He was deeply passionate about politics, his Jewish faith, caring for others, and cheering on his beloved New York Giants and New York Yankees. Kenneth also loved music, especially Pavarotti and the Beatles, and was an avid fan of the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle, a challenge he looked forward to each week. He was blessed with great friendships throughout his life and could almost always be seen at Packy’s on Friday nights, joined by his friends Jeff Minde and Gary Traub.
He is survived by his daughter Chelsea Farrell and her husband Steven, along with their children, Jackson and Ayla; his daughter Hallie Tucker and her husband Brian Van Slyke, and their children, Harlow and Ethan; and his three beloved nephews, Ian, Hugh, and Jason, and their families. Kenneth was preceded in death by his brother, Alan Tucker; sister-in-law, Myrna Tucker; his mother, Harriet Tucker; and his father, Maxwell Tucker.
A celebration of life to honor Kenneth will be held at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Commercio Dr, Boca Raton, on November 16 at 10 am, with a service from 10:30 am to 12 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to American Friends of Magen David Adom in his memory.
