Lorelei Tara (Lerman) Goila, born September 30, 1975 and was freed from her pain on September 15, 2021. Lorelei was the biggest fan of her children, Ashlyn and Thomas. She was most at home in the stands for a soccer, football or lacrosse game. She loved her “mom jobs” which included being a tutor, driver, short order cook, schedule coordinator, cheerleader, and nurse. She was dog mom to Gryffin, her golden retriever companion.
Lorelei met the love of her life, Tom, at Furman University where she was a cheerleader and member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. They spent 22 years together crisscrossing the US living in Cincinnati, Eugene, Charlotte, Atlanta and Florida. They enjoyed spending time at the lake or on a beach and were known to attend a football game or two.
Lorelei was blessed to have supportive parents, Stan and Terry Lerman, who helped throughout her battle with breast cancer and her brother Brett who kept life normal through the entire process.
In addition, she is survived by her in-laws Tom and Barb Goila, sister-in-law Stephanie Padgett (Tim), and nieces/nephews John, Elisabeth, Ryan Padgett and Max Lerman and numerous friends and family.
The family will have a memorial service to honor and celebrate Lorelei on Saturday, September 18 from 2-5pm with a brief service at 4pm at Babione Funeral Home in Boca Raton, FL.
The service will be Live Streamed on the Babione Funeral Home Facebook page.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Metavivor.org, which is committed to metastatic breast cancer research and support.
