I recently found out Dr. Giusto passed away in 2020 . I was a childhood friend of his son Louis during our elementary years at St. Jude and throughout our middle school years. I used to love going over to their house and having pizza on Friday nights . Dr. Giusto would usually be gone when we woke up on Saturday mornings , I assume making the rounds at the hospital . One of the things that still stand out to me about him was how down to earth and nice he was , I even remember he drove a white Nissan Maxima. Another example is when Louis and his family moved into a new house and Dr. Giusto installed the fans in the rooms there himself with the help of his two sons Louis and Andrew and myself since I was there. I assumed a doctor would pay someone to do that but instead he was doing it himself while also teaching his sons and their friend about pride in doing something yourself. It was a privilege to know Mr. & Mrs. Dr. Giusto and be friends with their sons. May god bless them all.

Good morning Dr. GUISTO
I don't know if you would remember me, but I know you will. Not only were you my doctor, but you treated me as a friend. Always providing the best advice and taking care of me when I was sick. I hope you are comfortable and have found peace. Again, I was shocked to learn you have left us 10 days after my fiancée Tommy left us. He was your patient as well. I didn't have a chance to let him know about you as he left 10 days prior. I do miss being your patient. You were the best and your family was so lucky to have you apart of their lives. Now you will still look over them and knowing that, they will be fine. If you bump into Tommy at any time, say hello for me. Really miss you both.

One of the best doctors ever! So professional and patient w/kindness.. I was so disappointed ☹️ I never got a chance to say goodbye!! Rest in peace and thank you for your care to myself & numerous friends who were also your patients 🙏🙏🙏

I was so sad to learn of Dr. G’s death. He was the best doctor I have ever had. It was so comforting talking with him about my health issues over the years. When I was admitted to the hospital for a gall bladder operation in 2013, he visited me. I don’t even know how he knew I was there. He was the best. God blessed me for having such a wonderful care giver.

I was a patient of Dr giusto's for 20 years and I would like to extend my condolences to his family. I had no idea that he passed away 10 days after my fiance passed away. I was very saddened to learn that Dr giusto passed away. He was loved by many patients especially me he always was there for me whenever I needed medical attention and he was just an overall great doctor and he will be missed.

Louis was the first friend I made in St Peters Prep during the summer session prior to freshman year. He was passionate and inclusive and convincing. He convinced me to try out for freshman football with him. I made it , he did not. It was the wrong choice made by the coach. I only joined because of Louis' passion ....not mine.
He is in my memory always at varying times...in some story or gathering , through out my life..an intrigal part of my history. His spirit lives on. God speed.

Best doctor ever! He was so caring, listened to his patients, and was ALWAYS there. So sad to just be hearing about this.

I will see you someday, Cousin, up yonder, as my Dad would say. RIP. You earned your crown helping others. You're with loved ones now, eternally.
Love Carol

My wife, Connie, and I consider Dr. Giusto the best doctor we have ever had. (We're both in our 70s.) He was an excellent diagnostician, probably because he was an excellent listener. We never felt rushed in his office. He always gave us the time we needed, and listened patiently to our concerns. He was wonderful, and we already missed him even before receiving this very sad news.
On a more personal level, I was thrilled to learn from him years ago that he had been in attendance at one of the most memorable sports events of the 20th century: Secretariat's 31-length victory in the Belmont Stakes in 1973. He and I always enjoyed talking about that wonderful memory.
We are very sad to learn of Dr. Giusto's passing. We pray for his soul and for all of you in his family.

I just heard about Dr Giusto’s passing. This is such sad news. I knew he had been ill, but was hoping he would recover and come back to the practice. Dr Giusto was a one in a million doctor. I was his patient for around 25 years. He was the most caring doctor I have ever gone to. He would always fit me in for any office visit. He listened with caring and absolute understanding as I would describe any symptoms I was experiencing. His diagnoses were always correct. He will be dearly missed. The medical profession has lost one of their greatest assets.
I send my sincere sympathies to his family on their heartbreaking loss. Please know that the man you loved was a very special and dedicated doctor.
Rest in Peace, Dr Giusto. The world was a better place with you in it.

We are very sad to hear of Dr. Giusto passing. He was our family doctor for the last 24 yrs. Very good doctor, kind and especial doctor and friend. We miss him all this time . Our deepest sympathy to his wife and family. Rest in peace our dear Dr. Giusto.

My mom and I am so very sorry to have learned of his passing. He was our family doctor forever (Bonnie, Joseph, Joe Jr and myself) until we moved to Ohio years ago. He worked with my mom when she was a nurse at the hospital and was our doctor and the best one we had. After moving back to Ohio many years ago my father got sick with Bladder cancer and passed away after putting up a good fight for two years to stay with us. We often thought of bringing him back down to Dr Giusto and our other forever doctors we had in Florida because we certainly can not find great ones like he was - he set the bar very hi, was always there for us with kindness, professionalism, caring just to name a few of his wonderful traits. He truly cared about my family and all of his patients (we recommended many people to him through the years) Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, staff and others whos lives he touched. He will be greatly missed. Love Sue Galaska

Although it has been months since Dr. Guisto passed, the grief over his loss remains, therefore I want you to know my feelings toward this man. As a patient for nearly 20 years he was the epitome of kindness and care and for what it's worth the world was better for him having passed through it. His integrity, honesty, and dedication to his profession was second to none. I did not know about the battle he fought until it was too late. Anytime I inquired, the answer was the same "we don't know." He meant a lot to me. Louis was a good man who I always felt comfortable with, knowing he would do all he could to help my medical issues. I am so sorry he is no longer with us, but his memory will remain. That memory is a good one.

I just learned of Dr. Gusto's passing. He was a very good doctor and I am very sad he left us too soon. My deepest sympathy to the family and may the memories of him bring you comfort.

Dr. Giusto was my doctor while my family (Maggiore Family) lived in Boca Raton. No matter what time of the night it was, if one of us was sick, he'd stop by to care for us. It saddens me that he has passed but I hope he enjoyed his life to the fullest.

Lovely man who really cared about his patients. My condolences.

My sincere condolences on the death of your husband Louis. Louis"s father & my mother were !st cousins in Hoboken. I was so sad to see his picture on the internet, Again my sincere condolences to the whole family.
Sincerely,

I have been a patient of his since I was 29 years old. He was a lovely man so sweet so well mannered and had a sense of humour. He listened to his patients and he was caring. My kids even went to him when they no longer wanted to see their pediatrician.
I am sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace and may God grant you peace and and patience. He was a good man with a good heart and he truly was ethical and wonderful in his field.
I am so sad that we lost Dr Giusto. He went above and beyond and he gave the most sincerest and truthful advice.
He left an imprint in me and I will always remember him dearly.
Go with peace and rest in the earth now you are safe in the hands of God,angels and your loved ones.

I cannot tell you how sorry I am. Doc was a wonderful person and an exceptional doctor. He shall be greatly missed by all. He could make my mother feel better simply by entering his office and I also had so much faith in his diagnosis. He was not only a healer, he was such a compassionate person.
God Bless you all.

I moved away and had not seen Dr Giusto in years and you said to my wife this week that I wanted to go and see him. Then I saw this news and I am beyond heartbroken. What happened to him? He was always such an awesome daughter and friend and I really appreciated him so much.

To the family of Dr. Louis Giusto,
My husband, Tony, and I have been patients of Dr. Giusto for many, many years, possibly from the 1980s. From the first time we met him, it seemed like we have known him forever. He was a soft-spoken gentleman who always listened attentively to his patients.
Being Italian, at times I would bring to his office for his lunch, escarole and beans or broccoli rabe. Oh how he enjoyed these Italian dishes.
We are so saddened to hear of his passing. Our condolences go out to his family and may he rest in peace.

I just heard about the passing of Dr. Giusto! He had been my friend and primary care physician for over 25 years. I always looked forward to seeing him and will miss him terribly. God bless your soul old friend.

Thank You. Thank you for being a great Doctor, understanding, funny, down to earth and one of a kind.
We will miss you.

Dr. Giusto was pretty much our entire family’s doctor. Always kind, always taking the time to listen. He had a true calling to serve and was the epitome a good doctor. I remember the first time I took my grandfather to see Dr. Giusto... he had a small office on Colonial Drive. We had been to several doctors and they all would erroneously treat my grandfather for anemia. Dr Giusto dug deeper and found out he actually had cancer. Thanks to him, my grandfather was treated at an early stage.
We will miss him dearly. Much love to the Giusto family- May God bring comfort to your hearts. Love, Caroline Schiling and the Figueiredo Family

Dear Mrs. Giusto, David and Andrew,
Please know that your husband and father, was not only our family doctor but he was our friend. We tried endlessly to find out how he was. We hope that you received our messages and card. He was an exceptional doctor and person. His compassion, caring nature, understanding and competence set him aside from everyone else. He will never be replaced. I hope that you can find comfort in knowing that he took care of us all. We will miss him. I know that our mother welcomed him to heaven with open arms. Love to you all from the Clancy, Ciolek, and Gallerani families.

Thank you for your service and kindness as my doctor for 13 years. You were very patient, kind and thorough in your care of me. You even reintroduced me to the use of fountain pens, which I used as a child. Thank you so very much. Will miss you greatly. Condolences to your family.🙏🙏

Dr. Giusto was an outstanding physician who was well respected by his colleagues, peers, patients and community. He was the most caring and compassionate doctor who always made time for his patients. He was my doctor prior to working for him for 16 years. I will never find another as great as him. I was always proud to say I worked for him . We had a great little work family and it never felt like work. He always enjoyed sharing his wisdom, knowledge, trivia and jokes with us.

He will always hold a special place in my heart and I will miss him dearly,
-Michelle

Dr Giusto was our family doctor for over 30 yrs. He was always there when we needed him with understanding and his calming effect. He showed patience with my husband who is a talker. I always felt if he didn’t know the answer he would steer us to someone who would.

He will be missed and always remembered.

Dr. Giusto - no words can describe what a wonderfully caring man he was, not to mention an awesome listener!! As many of you probably can attest to if you were lucky enough to be one of his patients! I personally will miss his conversations about life, and his love of history and boy did he know his stuff!! I know he is not suffering any more and that makes it a little bit more tolerable - But he will always be in my heart...
