Lu Fleszar

January 1, 1947 – April 16, 2012

Lucian "Lu" Fleszar, 65, of Boca Raton, Florida; passed away April 16, 2012. Born January 1, 1947 in Poland, to John and Mary Fleszar, Lu was raised in New York. Mr. Fleszar met Elise Cooney in 1986 in New York. They married in 1988 and celebrated 23 years of marriage. In addition to his wife Elise, Mr. Fleszar is survived by his mother Mary, a daughter Audrey (Steve) Richardson, a granddaughter Leah Grace Richardson, and his brother George ( Regina) Fleszar. He was also cherished by his two cats, Pepper and Kiki.

Mr. Fleszar moved to the Boca Raton area in 1997. He was an electronics technician with the United States Postal Service in Fort Lauderdale. He retired from the Post Office on March 31, 2012, leaving him only a few weeks to enjoy retirement.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 on April 20, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Boca Raton, Florida. Interment was at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in North Lauderdale, Florida. Babione Funeral Home West Chapel was in charge of services for Mr. Fleszar.

Lu, I miss you so much with your tender voice, Christopher is mad that he lost his Uncle Lu, but I told him that you and my Dad will meet up in Heaven and that they are our Guardian Angels now I guess I'm going to have to become Elise's mechanic when it comes to her car. I'm glad that you are at peace and I know you will have a get together real soon.

Lu was one of the kindest and most decent men I have ever met. I remember when Elise and Lu found each other and the great love they shared. I am so sorry that Lu was taken from Elise so soon. I hope that Elise can find comfort in the memories of the life they shared. He was a beautiful man and wonderful husband and father.
