...Only by God’s amazing grace, her family was able to say their heartfelt hellos and goodbyes during the last few days of her life here on earth. It was a privilege to spend those precious moments catching up, praying and even laughing. Those very important last days of sadness, were filled with unspeakable joy and will be treasured by us eternally. Although difficult to comprehend why we couldn’t have had more time to spend with her, we trust in God’s plans. He will be our Comforter and see us through. All things will come to light. But what we do know and understand is that it was time for her to go. Her mission was complete, she fought the good fight and she finished well. She honored the Lord with her life here on earth, now the Lord honors her in heaven. In 2 Corinthians 5:7-8 it says “For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” Because of this eternal promise, we know where she is right now. There, she feels no pain, no suffering, no sorrow; she is free!!! This is an extraordinary hope that does not disappoint. She is with Jesus and Jesus is with her - forever. We will see her again one day, because this life is temporary. Next week, she will be celebrating her best birthday ever in the best place ever! We love you, our dear sister. :)

So many loving thoughts we want to share here... We lost our sister Maria Del Pilar, or as her family will always call her "Pili." After many years of being apart, its been difficult to reach this point. Only through God's strength and will we get through this grieving time. She was the oldest of 4 daughters and was the pillar of our childhood. This daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, friend, pediatrician and wife touched everyone she was in contact with. Her beautiful smile was a reflection of her kind and loving spirit. She was gifted by God in so many ways. There was so many fond memories that each of us will carry in our hearts and minds reminding us of how special she truly was. She loved to travel, dance; had a great sense of adventure; a dependable and loyal friend caring sister and exceptional example of a daughter. There is no doubt in our minds that she was an excellent wife, always demonstrating a selfless caring attitude, putting God first in her marriage. She was never interested in "stuff" and gave unselfishly to bless others. How she loved her her nieces and nephew. There was a special calling upon her life, especially to love and care for children. She was a brilliant pediatrician in her profession and we are certain she touched many families' lives as she treated their children throughout the years...
