You may not remember me as we were very little girls when we were neighbors in Chicopee Ma.
I was visiting my parents the other day ( they still live on Longwood now 91 and 92 yrs old ) , we were talking about old times in the neighborhood and how I loved your mom’s perennial garden .  I loved it so much I would crawl under the arbrovideas that grew tall between our yards and make a fort right in the middle.  Maybe that garden wasn’t as big as I remember but to a little girl it seemed huge . I have fond memories of the 3 girls that lived next door in a neighborhood full of boys.  I remember too how sad I was when you moved away but I never forgot your names and decided to look you up on the internet only to find that Maryesther had passed.
My hope was to spark conversation with mom and dad about whatever happened to the girls next door as they love to reminisce about the neighborhood that they hold so dear.
Maybe too much time has gone by for you to even receive this note however; my family sends our deepest regards to you both and from the sounds of it your sister was a beautiful soul. 
In my mind I picture her surrounded now by a beautiful garden just as  the one we played in as little girls.

Mary Esther was a wonderful woman. I am shaken and saddened by her passing. She had a warmth and kindness that I will never forget. I worked at Holy Cross in the early nineties and Mary Esther was always a friendly face to talk to. My deepest condolences to her family and friends. This amazing lady was loved by so many.

Shelley and I just heard about Maryesther's passing today.  She was always such a loving and compassionate person.  I'll always remember how she took the time to make handmade gifts and cards for her friends in high school.  She always had a positive attitude on the basketball court and gave her all to everything she did.  Although this is rather late, I still want you to know that you are not alone in your loss. I heard from Mr. Barrows last night at a Gateway Boy's Basketball game, that Maryesther had passed.  I am so sorry.  She has always been one of my favorite people from Gateway. I have so many fond memories of time spent with her in class, and on the basketball and field hockey teams, and at the boys basketball games on Friday nights.  I am deeply saddened that so much time went by that I never got to see her again.  Love to all of you.

Patricia and Susan - My deepest sympathy to you both.  My parents just learned of her passing this weekend and passed the information along to me.  I last saw her at our High School Reunion in Westfield and she looked well and very happy with her life.  In reading the entries, her personality never changed over the years.  She was always outgoing.  Loved the pictures of the family in Montgomery and high school - certainly brings back some fond memories.   Again, my deepest sympathy to you both on the loss of Maryesther.

Today we are walking the light the night walk on Team MEF in West Palm Beach for the Leukemia/Lymphoma society in honor of Maryesther Fox.  She was an inspirational and wonderful woman who took me under her wing at Delray Medical Center and let me shadow her for a week, learning firsthand how to treat acute care patients, she took time to teach me documentation and she always made the effort to help me when i needed help.  I will truly miss MEF, as we all knew her as, and her smile and compassion i will remember always.  Thank you, Maryesther for your guidance and patience.  You will be forever in my heart.

To my sister in law, I really didn't know you till after you passed away. I learned so much about you from the family you had in florida. I wish I was able to be part of that life. Your sister and I miss you so mich and i hope you are at pease. You are a saint and from now on you will be know as St Maryesther.

Our hearts are broken but now this angel on Earth has gone to serve as an angel in Heaven....taking care of all of our deceased loved ones....Rest in Peace dear cousin..until we meet again. " Hello My Friend " - is how you opened every conversation or voice mail and with that and the charm in your voice you could feel and hear you smiling. Which in turn always made me smile .     "No worries" is what you ALWAYS and UNSELFISHLY said to anything or anyone that was asked of you . Maryesther how blessed I was to have had such an amazing friend as you. Your passion for others and genuine heart were just a few of the gifts you shared with EVERY single person you met . Your brillance as a therapist, devotion as a friend, aunt, sister, daughter  were remarkable. I bet ya heaven needed a preceptor on how to be a PERFECT ANGEL because there is no question we witnessed your abilities. You will forever be missed and held close to my heart.

Maryesther was a friend and mentor.  She never gave less than 100%.  The week before her passing she was cheering me on in my career activities and talking about how she would like to use her experience to impact the future care of patients.  In looking at those who have posted to the guestbook already it is clear Maryesther's spirit impacted so many therapists and caregivers in her lifetime.  The way I see it she continues to impact the future care of patients, even in her absence. From one monkey to another - MEF you are loved and will be missed.

The world lost a great one, Maryesther was a great boss and a great therapist, but she was an even better person. Always putting others first, always smiling, plus she was a Sox and Pats fan. The world's loss is Heaven's gain, we miss you down here MEF.

I will always remember you from our days at Holy Cross Hospital.  Such a caring person and always willing to teach me new things.  You will be missed by many but I am sure never forgotten.

Our thoughts are with you Susan and Trish during this difficult time.  I remember my visits to FLA to see Maryesther fondly.  What a great, fun person she was.

Maryesther was my first boss as a PT at Delray Medical Center.  She amazed me with her knowledge and her clinical skills.  She never failed to show kindness, compassion, and a willingness to lend a helping hand no matter how busy she was.  It saddens me deeply to know that she is gone from this earth. Maryesther was a gift to many. I worked with her many years at Delray. She always had a can do attitude and had a bright disposition. She and I spent countless hours working collaboratively to get documents and processes in order to regulatory surveys. She was selfless and hard working. She is dearly missed.. Maryesther was kind, patient, compassionate and dedicated to helping others.  When she was orienting me to Delray Medical Center, I will never forget how thorough she was in doing so.  And watching her interact with patients was refreshing.  She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. May you rest in peace Maryesther.

I know Maryesther back from our college days at Russell Sage College. Maryester was in my "Big Sister" class; they were the "Red Devils" and we were the "Blue Angels". She wasn't my Big Sister, but everyone knew and loved Maryester. When she entered the room you would just know it from her big smile and friendly personality. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome. I moved here to Florida after I graduated in 1985 and I had no idea that she was in Florida. I was working with another therapist, Miriam,who knew Maryester when she did an internship at Holy Cross and I believe Maryester was her clinical instructor. Well Maryester, being the sweetheart that she is, came to my surprise bridal shower at the beach; boy was I surprised..I hadn't seen her since she graduated in 1983. I also worked at Pinecrest/Delray, but unfortunately I had already transferred into homehealth by the time Maryester had arrived...I would've loved to work with her. I will say as was evidenced by the turnout today; She touched MANY peoples' lives. God put Maryester in many peoples lives and I am grateful that I was one of them. She was an angel here on Earth and may we all be 1/2 as loving, caring, and unselfish as Maryester....you will be missed, but never forgotten. Thank you God for blessing me with knowing Maryester, one of your angels.

I am so saddened to hear of Maryesther's passing.  I met Maryesther in 1999 through our mutual friend, Marion Barnett.  I had moved to Fort Lauderdale  to attend Optometry School at Nova and was 1,500 miles away from my family.  Maryesther immediately made me feel at home by bringing pans of lasagna and brownies.  Her kindness and fun loving spirit will be missed but the memories will never be forgotten. Her family and friends are in my thoughts and prayers.

Maryesther your presence will be felt for years to come.  I just keep thinking of the lyrics "your candle burned out long ago but your memory never did"  that is how it will be for you.  You were a Clinician's clinician there to problem solve with, to teach to treat, to console always doing for someone else.  I'll never forget the first time we treated a patient together using NDT it was magical - you had a special gift that you were always willing to share. It was also in the small things that you touched others. I have always been a hair moron and yet you managed to teach me how to put my hair in a french twist using the claw clip to keep it up.   To this day I think of you everytime I put my hair up this way.  Your smile, your caring and compassion you will be missed but not forgotten.

Heartbreaking news to hear of the loss of Mary Esther. I, too, worked with her for many years at Holy Cross. In fact, I was assigned to be her clinical instructor when she joined us as a PT student.  I will never forget the first day of her affiliation. In the midst of her orientation, I became suddenly quite sick with the flu and needed to go home. I was at a loss as to how I could leave as Mary Esther had barely stepped in the door of the hospital but she gracefully told me to go home and rest and that "she would take care of things and see me when I felt better."  Somehow she managed to treat my entire patient caseload and immediately became part of our team. That day was perhaps the beginning of her many years of providing loving and compassionate care to anyone in need. I will never forget her amazing dedication and skill as a physical therapist but more so her gentle spirit, sweet smile and giant heart. I am lucky to have known her and will remember her always. I am so saddened by the news of the passing of Maryesther. I had the pleasure of working with Maryesther at Holy Cross Hospital in the 80s. She will be remembered as a kind, loving and caring friend as well as someone who always had time for those in need. Since we were both from MA, and loved lilacs, she used to bring back a bouquet of  lilacs for me when she went home to visit her family in the spring. She will be deeply missed. My heart is aching to hear that we have lost such a wonderful person as Maryesther.  I have known Maryesther since she first moved to Florida and although I moved away many years ago, I always kept up with what she was doing through our mutual friend, Patty Heider-Wainer.  She was one special angel on Earth and now, with G-d, will do amazing things for so many more.  Rest in peace, my friend.

Maryesther was an amazing person.  She was a hard worker but liked to play hard too.  She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends.  She was always there for EVERYONE. Though Maryesther's life was cut short, she filled everyday with her love for others and inspired those around her to do the same.  She had a heart of solid gold that left flakes on the so many people she assisted, patients, coworkers, friends, family, and even strangers in need.  I am truly blessed to have had such a support and inspiration in my life and work.  Words cannot come close to the touch that Maryesther ak MEF gave to all of us and may all of us strive to be as compassionate as she was always.  She never missed a beat when it came to helping others and now she can dance on in heaven...dance on MEF!!!

This week, I've lost a very special person, my mentor and friend. A person who represents the epitome of the human spirit.  One who gives to others fully without expecting anything in return. My heart aches knowing you're gone, but I find solace in knowing that you resting comfortably in God's hands where you should be...You're gone, but not forgotten. I love you MEF!!!

 What a wonderful person, and co-worker. As my boss, MEF was always patient, willing to jump in to lend a hand, and supportive. She always loved talking about her family too. She will be sorely missed!!!
