

Michael was born in Neptune, New Jersey on February 23, 1947 and grew up in Wanamassa, New Jersey. Growing up, he played several different sports, but as he got older, he continued to focus on football as the sport he was most passionate about, playing at Asbury Park High School and continuing on to play at Vincennes University in Indiana. Michael was a lover of all animals and growing up, he would bring stray animals home with the hope to keep and take care of them. He especially loved any and all dogs, owing and loving several throughout his lifetime.
In 1970 he met the absolute love of his life, Joan. They married in March of 1971 and raised their two children, Thomas and Michele, in New Jersey until they moved to Boca Raton, Florida in 1987. Their family lived in Boca Raton until 2016 when they moved to Boynton Beach, Florida.
Michael was truly a selfless person, always putting everybody’s needs before his own. His generosity and compassion was evident to all who met him. He will be remembered for how he treated every person he met with kindness and always being so considerate towards others.
He is survived by his wife, Joan, his two children, Thomas and Michele, his son-in-law, Greg, his granddaughters, Isabella and Gianna, and his three sisters, Marie Sciarrabone, Lynn Piroso, and Judy West. He loved his family endlessly and they were truly all that mattered to him. He will be incredibly missed and forever loved by his family.
There will be a Catholic Mass said in his honor on Sunday, November 1, 2026 at 11 AM at Saint Jude, Catholic Church, Boca Raton, Florida.
