Patricia P. Sackinger

Patricia Ann Perkins Sackinger was born April 26, 1936 in Olean, New York and lived in Shinglehouse, PA until her marriage. She was the daughter of Olin Elomo Perkins and Martha Sophronia Haynes Perkins. She graduated from Shinglehouse High School (Oswayo Valley) in 1954 and later from Indiana University in 1958. She married Clifton Thomas Sackinger on July 2, 1960. She was a teacher in Port Allegany, PA, Tonawanda, NY and Circleville, OH, Alfred I. School District. She also worked for Nephrology Associates, A.I. Dupont Hospital for Children and sold Mary Kay cosmetics. She was a member of the Phi Mu Fraternity for Women, AAUW and St. Mary Magdalene Church. She passed away August 21, 2011. She is predeceased by her loving husband Clifton Thomas Sackinger, and her sister Carolyn Clapp-Sutley, she is survived by sons: Scott (Denise) and Sean Sackinger, brothers: Edgar and Stephen Perkins, and grandchildren: Emily, Cole, Jonathan and Alexis "Lexi." A visitation will be held at Babione Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Hwy, Boca Raton, on Friday, August 26, from 2-4PM & 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 27, at 10:00AM at St. Lucy Catholic Church, Highland Beach, FL.
