Rev. Paul H. Meister (known to everyone as Pastor Paul) after a lifetime of ministry has been called home to the Lord. Born on March 6, 1937 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Elizabeth Meister, he leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Janet Meister, his sister Elizabeth (Betty) Goding, three daughters and sons-in-law, Cathleen and her husband, Eric Bowne, Noreen and her husband Brian Betzler and Carleen and her husband Bryan Morris, and nine grandchildren and one grandson-in-law (Caitlin and Erick King, Emily and Carl Joshua Bowne, Kaylie and Keira Betzler, Julie, Olivia, Jeffrey and Trevor Morris). He trained for the ministry at Northern Baptist Seminary where he got his Master's of Divinity degree. Although barely able to see from macular degeneration and after a severe heart attack 7 1/2 years ago, he continued to serve as best as he could in his church and community right up to the time of his death. He pastored at First Baptist Church Watertown, Wisconsin; Hillcrest Baptist Church South Euclid, Ohio; Pilgrim Baptist Church Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; West Boca Community Church Boca Raton, FL; retiring from Evangel Baptist Church (now known as Hope City Church) in Boca Raton, FL. He will be missed dearly by his family. He joins his parents and his youngest daughter Juleen Meister in heaven and probably had a tee time for Monday morning that he didn't want to miss! In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hope City Church at Hopecityboca.com.
