Peter Gojka of Delray Beach, Florida {formerly of Connecticut) passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on September 5, 2021 at the age of 86. Peter was born on August 7, 1935 in Grebenac, Yugoslavia to Josika and Persida Gojka.
Beloved husband of Anastasia [nee Mokracek]; loving father of Persida [Steve] Voina, Mirjana [Louis] Damiano, cherished grandfather to Jennifer [Danny] Pankerican, Stefanie Voina, Christina Damiano and great grandfather to Mikey Pankerican; sister Juliajana Nedecki; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Jonel and Josika and grandson Antonio Damiano, Jr.
In 1969 Peter and Anastasia along with their daughters, Persida and Mirjana immigrated to New York from Yugoslavia. First settling in Queens, then Larchmont for many years then moving to Connecticut. Peter loved to tend to his big vegetable garden, many fruit trees and beautiful flowers. He loved to build things and had many tools in his wood shop. He built many things from a storage shed to a doghouse. He enjoyed using his hands to build things. Peter loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandson.
Peter and Anastasia moved to Florida in their retirement years. They joined the Apostolic Christian Church where they were faithful members.
