Phyllis C. Kukielka, 86, of Delray Beach, FL (formerly of Minneapolis, MN), passed away January 12, 2021. Born April 10, 1934, daughter of the late Chester and Mary Zondlo. Preceded in death by her husband Frank, son David and brother Chester Jr., she is survived by her son Daniel Kukielka (Michael Shanley) of Florida, daughter Cheryl Moore of Minnesota, grandsons Anthony Holznagel (Anna Thang), Brian French (Shelby French) and great grandsons Preston, Ethan and Walker and many extended family members.
Having grown up in Northeast Minneapolis, Phyllis raised her family there with many family members close by. Later in life, she moved to North Fort Myers, Florida reuniting with other family and making many dear friends before moving to Delray Beach, Florida where she enjoyed nearly twenty years in the same community. She was blessed to have a close group of lady friends, often referred to as the “Golden Girls”, with the same antics, friendship and love. Phyllis, Mary, Dottie and Tootsie treasured their friendship, found later in life, and will reunite to pick up where they left off sharing countless dinners, card games, gossip and gambling.
In lieu of flowers or donations to honor her memory, do something for those you love. Call someone you haven’t spoken to, give your Mom or Dad a hug, tell them you love them, do something for a stranger. There is no greater gift than that of ourselves and the gift of unconditional love.
