Randall (Randy) Patrick Adamson was born on August 27, 1984 to his father, Danny and his mother, Julia (Mishelle). The eldest of three, Randy, has two younger siblings: his sister Kimberly, and his brother Robert (Craig). Though born in Georgia, Randy moved to Florida in middle school and eventually graduated from Spanish River High School, where he ran track. After high school, Randy studied to become a Radiological Technologist and began working at Kindred Hospital.
Tampa - New Year’s Eve 2007, Randy and his girlfriend, Leah D. Fioto had just finished seeing comedian Jeff Dunham and went to celebrate. Randy proposed to Leah, just as the ball dropped. Randy and Leah married on November 21, 2009 at the Carolina Club in Coconut Creek, FL. In marrying Leah, Randy also inherited Leah’s puppy, Booda (as Randy called him “the step-child”), and Leah’s large, Italian family. Randy became a treasured member of the Fioto family, who loved him unconditionally. On a Halloween day, Randy brought Cody (a Golden Retriever) home and instantly fell in love.
Randy had many hobbies. His interests included, but were not limited to, fish tanks, guns, crossfit, archery, cars and motorcycles. He collected guns of all sorts and would test them out at the local range. Since a young boy, Randy loved cars and motorcycles and dreamed of one day owning a Viper. On sunny days or nice nights, Randy would go for motorcycle rides, and was always trying to convince his wife, Leah, to join him. He shared many of his hobbies with his dad, his sister, and his brother and enjoyed to constantly call them to talk about his latest interest and all the details about it.
On March 9, 2013 Randy and Leah discovered they were pregnant. Randy’s excitement at being a father was palpable and he smiled with such excitement. He began researching everything he would need to do to prepare for the baby. After long hours and many months of preparation, Randy finally finished Lillian’s room. On November 9, 2013 his pretty little Lillian was born and she and Randy shared an instant connection. Randy was already planning Lillian’s future. He talked of enrolling Lillian in activities like Karate, music lessons, dance, taking her to the range, and so much more. Randy was the best dad. He loved to take care of his little girl and every day showered her with love and kisses. He even had a ‘daily picture’ of Lilly texted to him every day. After coming home he would tell Leah how much he missed them both. Lilly and Randy would take little walks together, and Lilly, riding high on Randy’s shoulders would light up and smile. Randy couldn’t wait to see Lilly’s first tooth come in and looked forward to having her reach for him to be picked up.
One normal Tuesday morning, Randy left the house for work and, like always, gave his wife a kiss goodbye. He leaned over the cradle and kissed his daughter three times and said, “Daddy loves you so much!” He then looked at Leah and said, “I love you. See you later, but talk to you soon.” He closed the bedroom door and took his motorcycle to work. Randy suffered a collision. The incident was serious, and Randall Patrick Adamson was pronounced gone at 4:15 pm, April 22, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Leah, his 6 month-old daughter, Lillian and the family dogs: Booda and Cody.
Randy was completing his Bachelor’s degree at Keiser University and planned to attend Nova University’s Doctor of Osteopathy program. He planned for his family to have a better future and wanted to give his wife and daughter a life that he thought they deserved. There was no one like Randy. He was smart, caring, hard-working, funny, and did so much for so many. Even in death, his status as an organ donor helped change the lives of five strangers. He was a great husband, an amazing loving dad, a best friend, a great brother and son. He will be missed and remembered FOREVER!
