Ray was a loving husband, father, and friend. He will be greatly missed by his family, including his children, Pamela Kuyper and Dale Majors, and his grandchildren, Holly Kuyper, Jacob Kuyper, and Caleb Majors.
Ray grew up in Akron, Ohio and lived in Indianapolis, Indiana, before finally residing in Boca Raton, Florida. He was employed at companies such as Ford Motor Company and Sun Sentinel before he retired. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force. Ray is preceded in death by his wife, Kay, his sister, Gladys Lebarre, his brother, Joseph Majors, Sr, and his parents, Flossie Mae Wise and Carl Doug Majors.
Ray had been a member of First Baptist Church (formerly Calvary Baptist Church) for over 42 years. There, Dad served as a Sunday school teacher. He also volunteered for the prison ministry, which he served at for over 30 years, and he was also a deacon.
Anyone who knew him knew that Ray’s faith in Christ was what he cherished the most in his life. He would want all of you here today to know that you also can receive the gift of eternal life. One of his favorite verses, John 14:6, says “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” If you are uncertain of where you will spend eternity, our pastors are available to talk with you. Ray will lovingly be remembered for his faith in Christ, and his kindness and dedication to his family and his friends.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BabioneBocaRaton.com for the Majors family.
