To the Voigt family,

I am so sorry for your loss. You have my deepest sympathy.
I was a student of professor Voigt's at FAU 9 years ago. As an older student going back to school to get another degree in education, I had to take one computer course. At the time, I knew nothing about computers, and I remember sitting in the first class feeling like I might cry because the course material was so foreign to me. As the course progressed, I realized what a fair and caring professor Mr. Voigt was. His primary concern was that we knew and understood the material. So if that meant he came early to class or stayed late to help a student, he did. His method of teaching also built my confidence. If you came to class and payed attention, there was no doubt you would understand the material. I had to work hard, but I ended up with an A in the class. And although I am not what you would call a computer wiz, I am very competent in all aspects of using technology. I can honestly credit professor Voigt for giving me the confidence I needed to keep up with today's fast paced technological world. I am truly saddened by his passing and will always remember him as one of my favorite professors at FAU.

Sincerely,
Sharon miller
