Regie E. Moorcroft, 73, of Delray Beach, FL passed away on Thursday, April 4, 2013 at Bethesda Memorial Hospital. She was born May 13, 1939 in Bellefonte, PA, the daughter of Paul and Marion Dinges. On September 15, 1973, in Kokomo, IN, she married Rel H. Moorcroft (deceased).
Regie graduated from Penns Valley Area High School in 1957 in Millheim, PA. She then earned a bachelor’s degree from Penn State University. She worked as a dietician in FL, OH, and IN in hospitals for many years.
In retirement, she faithfully served at First Presbyterian Church while also pursuing her hobbies and passions. There, as a member of twenty years, she was an elder, money counter, on the property committee, kitchen coordinator, and the coordinator of the Holly House. She was instrumental in the building of the new Holly House building. Regie was a talented organizer and arts and crafters maker, who was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
She is survived by three step-children and their spouses, Michael and Debra Moorcroft, Timothy and Marie Moorcroft, Cathryn and Joseph Fraiz; five grandchildren, Kara (Geoff), Matthew (Elizabeth), Heather (Peter), Brian, and Jason (Wendi); sister-in-law Sylvia Dinges, and three nephews, Chad, Curt, and Cory, and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, Larry and Lynn.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, April 8 at First Presbyterian Church, 33 Gleason Street, Delray Beach, FL 33483. Reception will follow the service at the church. Entombment will be in Sunset Memory Garden Mausoleum in Kokomo, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church and/or the Holly House. Arrangements handled by Babione Funeral Home in Boca Raton, FL.
