His primary residence being in Lauderdale Lakes, he passed away being cared for by his Son and home Hospice of PB. The demise being accelerated from Alzheimers complications, the family wishes donations be made to the Alzheimers Foundation http://www.alzfdn.org/. Richard W Long was born in Buffalo, NY, graduated from Binghamton High and Penn State University with an elecrical enginering degree, served as a Captain in the US Army during WWII in the Phillipines. His life career culminated in being a Chief Executive and Financial officer, before retirement, of McDonald Distributors of FL, Electrical Distribution company for almost 45 years. Richard W is survived by his Wife Marcia, Sons Brian and Rich with wife Maria, Sister Phyllis Pockey and husband James, grandchildren Matt, Amanda and Buddy and his mother Harumi Nakamura Long, niece and nephew families.
