It’s with heavy hearts and great sadness to announce the passing of Ricky Blane Perry, on Friday, September 14th, 2018, at the age of 69. Ricky was an amazing man, survived and forever loved by his wife and best friend of 37 years, Catherine; his children Chris (Jessica), Angela (Steve) and Jessica (Kevin). He will be remembered and dearly missed by his three grandchildren, Ethan, Grace and Gavin, brother Mike and sisters Pam and Cheryl. Ricky is predeceased by his parents Charles and Sarah and sister Darlene.
Ricky was a native of Mooresville, North Carolina and resided in Boca Raton, Florida. He proudly served our country’s Army in Vietnam and persevered through his life with hard work and determination. Professionally, Ricky surpassed goals and became a rising asset with the Whirlpool Corporation, where he later retired as a regional manager in South Florida. While personally, he had what any man could dream of. He was a good-hearted, homegrown, honest man. He loved his family and cherished his friends. He enjoyed spending time playing and coaching softball, bowling, and golfing. However, you could always find him cruising on his Harley, or fixing up his most recent antique car in the garage. Although he may have put on a hard face, he was the most sensitive, caring man, who only wanted the best for his family. He led a life of example and devoted everything to the ones he loved. Ricky’s legacy will continue through his family and friends forever and always.
A life so beautifully lived deserves a life so beautifully remembered. A celebration of Ricky’s life will be held on Saturday, September 22nd at the Babione Funeral Home located at 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton Florida, 33428. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held from 3:00PM to 6:00PM.
