Robert Aldo Zona

Bob is survived by many family members; a son, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews; and many loving friends. He is preceded in death by his wife and the love of his life, Karen, his brother Jeff, and his son Mark.

Bob was born on September 21, 1944, in Paterson, NJ, to Aldo and Alice Zona. He grew up in Haledon, NJ and maintained his home there until he moved to Florida where he lived in both Miami and Boca Raton with his wife Karen.

Bob served in the United States Air Force, graduated from Rutgers University and then proceeded to obtain a Master’s Degree in Finance at Rutgers Graduate School – Newark. Bob went on to have an illustrious career in finance, working as a Cash Manager at Eastern Airlines, Vice President and Treasurer (Partner) at Puerto Rico Marine Management, and CFO at Aqua Gulf Transport.

Bob and Karen founded an organization called Divorced and Separated Help (DASH), a 501c3 charity. They helped people get through marital separations and were helpful in bringing many new couples together into lasting relationships.

A visitation for Robert will be held Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Babione - Kraeer Funeral Home, 1100 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, Florida, followed by a religious ceremony from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM.
