

Scott Johnson, age 49, passed on Saturday November 24, 2018 in Boca Raton, FL. He was born in Manhassett, NY on May 12, 1969. He grew up in Port Washington, NY. There he was an All American and played ice hockey, lacrosse, and wrestled for Paul D Schreiber High School. He attended LIU/CW Post where he played D1 lacrosse and met the love of his life, Kellie. He received his degree at Colorado University/Boulder. He also played lacrosse and ice hockey there. After graduation, he followed his dream and moved to Maui, Hawaii. There he worked for the Hyatt Regency Corporation. He married Kellie Whelan they had 3 children, their greatest treasure. They moved to Boynton Beach, FL where he became Coach Johnson, a PE teacher at Calusa Elementary for the last 21 years. He coached and volunteered his time with Riptide Lacrosse, National Flag Football, Boca Hoops, East Boynton baseball, and the Special Olympics. He is survived by his wife Kellie Johnson, daughters Emilie and Elena, son, Peter, parents Sally and Herbert Johnson, brother Doctor Erik Johnson and family, Grandmother Eleanor Scholl, Aunt Debbie Caldwell and family, Uncle Brooks Scholl and family plus numerous extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, an educational fund has been set up for Scott and Kellies children Elena, Emily and Peter.
