Shawna Kathleen Seal

Shawna Kathleen Seal was born to James Gordon Seal and Kathy Sue Seal in South Florida in December 1989. She was a strong and happy young lady who remained strong and resilient as she pushed through life enjoying everything she could despite certain health issues. She enjoyed gymnastics in her youthful years and participated in high school cheer leading. Later she became a cheer-leading coach with Palm Beach County School systems. In her adult years she completed her bachelor’s degree in health exercise science and became a personal trainer. Even when challenges stood in her way, she continued to be happy, loving and caring. At 27 years old her lungs deteriorated to a level which made it necessary to receive a double lung transplant. She coached and excelled as a personal trainer. She loved working with the young aspiring athletes. In 2025 the difficulties began and hospital visits became more and more frequent. She fought valiantly to maintain her health while her new lungs continued to deteriorate. Ultimately one day after being placed on a wait list for a second lung transplant, her lungs gave out. Shawna touched many lives, young and old. She never met a stranger and was always carefree. She lived in the moment. She will be forever in our hearts.

Shawna was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Douglas and Frances Seal and maternal grandfather, Everette Burgess.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 3:00 PM -7 PM Babione Funeral Home in Boca Raton.
