I remember Aunte Valerie and Uncle Louis once when I visited as a young man she  was so warm and welcoming to me and she made me feel so welcomed and loved even when I was quite naughty she always showed me love and when my mom passed away, she was so supportive to me I will always have a special place in my heart for my aunt  Valerie what a strong lovable woman and kind and understanding aunt you will be missed so much but never forgotten may you rest in peace and heaven welcome you with open Arms  for ever loved ❤️🕊️🙏🏾🕊️❤️

I only met Mrs Bayne once ,  while I was in St Lucia attending Sabrina and Chris's wedding.  Mrs Bayne radiated warmth, strength and love for her family. My favourite memories of her  were the times I watched her listening intently as Chris's sister' little boys told her about their day and  showing her the treasures they had gathered on the beach. I remember visiting Auntie Valerie and Uncle Louis when I was around 8 years old. She was warm-hearted and humorous. She would laugh when she talked about Uncle Louis and my father, and how the two of them had a habit of stretching the truth just a little when telling stories about their childhood in Guyana.

I also remember how she went out of her way to make pholourie for us. It took quite a while to prepare, and as a child, I simply remember thinking how good it tasted. But Auntie Valerie wasn’t satisfied. She felt that it wasn’t her best work, and wanted it to be perfect for us. It was a simple gesture, but one that showed the care, generosity, and love she put into welcoming family.

Remembering Valerie 

Valerie was more than my brother Louis’s wife or one of my sisters in laws. 
She was larger than life.
She was a matriarch, adviser, teacher, and a source of strength,  courage, and inspiration to her younger siblings, children, grandchildren, cousins, extended family, in laws, out laws, and neighbors.
She had the true grit of a pioneer in a foreign land. Together with her beloved husband Louis, she sacrificed much to elevate,  advocate and promote loved ones and those less fortunate.
Although Valerie Bayne was modest to a fault, she was industrious ambitious, a mover, a shaker, very generous,  and kept her word.
  So, on behalf of  the Bayne Family I bid farewell and God speed to my dear sister in law. 

Valerie, we will miss you very much.
Your  life has been an inspiration and your memory a benediction.

Auntie Valerie was one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I have ever met. She had a gift for making us all feel special and seen, even when we were small. I am so grateful that she was part of our lives, and especially grateful for the love she showed Tracy, Oliva, and Madison. We will miss her deeply.

I am so incredibly sorry for the loss of Auntie Valerie. My heart truly breaks. She was such a kind and thoughtful person. I will always remember how she would message me on Facebook just to check in on Chris,me, and the girls. Those little messages meant so much to me and were such a reflection of the caring person she was. I have such a wonderful memory of staying with Auntie Valerie and Uncle Louie when I was young and Auntie Valerie made me an omelette with Wiri Wiri pepper. It is still to this day the best eggs I have ever had. It is a memory that has always stayed with me and I will never forget. It reminds me of the warmth and care she brought to everything she did. She was deeply kind and thoughtful, someone who truly cared about the people around her and had a way of making that care felt.

Thank you for being a kind Aunt. You held this family together. Keeping Uncle Louis, Bruce, Mark, Sabrina and family in my prayers.

I remember Valerie as the generous, thoughtful matriarch of our extended families. 
She remembered family birthdays, holidays, and milestones. 
She was an amazing cook.   
She made us all feel connected and welcome. 
We wish her well deserved peace in her eternal  place in the cosmos.
