Vincent was born in Italy - Sicily to be specific - in 1935. He started his carpentry career there, trained in the trade by his father, and brought those skills to America in 1964. Vincent lived in New York and quickly gained a reputation as a true master of his craft, which remained his career until he retired to Florida, where he lived out the last 25 years of his life in Delray Beach.
Vincent married Mary in 1968, who was from the same town in Sicily and knew each other then. They lost touch when Mary moved to America with her family in 1955, but reunited in New York through mutual friends. The rest is history.
Throughout his life, Vincent truly enjoyed vegetable gardening. In fact, we like to think he started the ‘farm to table’ movement. Aside from that, he was a big fan of soccer, always watching the World Cup and rooting for Italy, of course (unless Italy didn’t play…then he rooted for Spain!). Vincent loved singing Italian music and watching classic movies, even quoting his favorite lines. In his retirement, Vincent was an integral part of starting the Bocce Club in their community and a member of the championship team for 5 consecutive years.
Vincent truly lived a full life, singing and whistling around the house, enjoying time with family and friends, telling stories from back in the day. He will be missed by many- may his soul rest in peace.
