Addie Faye Maggard

Mrs. Maggard was born in Appalachia, VA on July 11, 1941 and was the daughter of Andrew Sarber and Ruby Thomas. Mrs. Maggard worked at Indian Head Hosiery in Wilmington and then worked for Brunswick County Schools as a cafeteria worker. After her retirement from Brunswick County Schools, she worked in retail sales. She was a long-time member of Zion Assembly Church of God and a member of Town Creek Volunteer Rescue Squad. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Maggard.

She is survived by five children, Deborah Lewis and husband, Tim, of Winnabow, Wade Allen “Buster” Maggard of Leland, William Howard Maggard and wife, Jane, of Sanford, NC, Timothy Wayne Maggard and wife, Tammy, of Sterling Heights, MI, and Vance Edward Maggard of Wilmington; grandchildren, Audrea and fiancée, Ralph, T.K. and husband, Preston, Tonya, Alex, Ben and wife, Brittany, Zach, Miranda, Timothy, Jr., and Shane; great-grandchildren, Josh, Nick, Koty, Julia, Kimber, and Dillon; long-time friends, Nellie Reese of Virginia and Marie Lanaza of Wilmington, NC.

Family and friends are invited to attend and participate at the Celebration of Life service which will be held Friday, May 9, 2025 at two o’clock in the afternoon at Town Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Wilson and Marie Lanaza officiating.
