Alfred "Buddy" Earl Maggard Sr.

Alfred Earl "Buddy" Maggard Sr., age 72, of Bolivia, North Carolina passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. Alfred was born December 12, 1949 in Southport, NC and was the son of the late Robert Lee Maggard and Grace Nichols Maggard. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a retired carpenter. Mr. Maggard was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Brown Maggard; four children, Stacy Maggard Kelly (Richard) of Southport, Tina Maggard Turner of Bolivia, Alfred "Buddy" Maggard Jr. of Bolivia and Michael "Mickey" Maggard (Amanda) of Bolivia; ten grandchildren, Taylor, Kayleigh, Alexis, Kerrington, Ashlyn, Zachary, Cameron, Jackson, Bryan and Carter; two great grandchildren, Kyler and Leia; a sister, Judy Caison of Bolivia.

Funeral services will be held Sunday January 30, 2022 at two o'clock in the afternoon at Antioch Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Greg Caison, Jackie Brown, Tommy Brown, Clint Phillips, Brent Phillips, Danny Maggard and Jamie Brown.

The family will receive friends Saturday evening from six o'clock until eight o'clock at the funeral home and other times from the residence.
