Archie "Sam" Samuel Oxendine, aged 80, passed away on January 29, 2026. Sam was born on July 25, 1945 In New Hanover County and was the son of the late Earl and Bertha Reynolds Oxendine. He was a resident of Winnabow, North Carolina.
Mr. Oxendine was a member of Peace Memorial Baptist Church of Winnabow. He retired from Wake County, N.C. public utilities. Mr. Oxendine was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Oxendine.
He is survived by a son, Christopher Oxendine of the home; two brothers, David Oxendine and wife Bonnie of Winnabow and Delton Oxendine and wife Lenda of Wilmington.
Funeral services will be held Saturday February 7, 2026 at one o'clock in the afternoon at Peace Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Doug Fairfax officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
