Bobbe was born on June 14, 1929 in Newberry, SC, the daughter of the late Joseph and Caroline Hove. She is a graduate of Newberry High School in Newberry, SC and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mary Washington College of the University of Virginia in Fredericksburg, VA.
Bobbe was a long time member of Ocean View United Methodist Church where she served as treasurer for the UMW for many years and sang in the Christmas cantata. She is also known as the “crimper” of her circle’s famous chicken pies.
Survivors include daughters, Brenda Caudill and husband Fred, Lesley Davis and husband Tim; sons, Brett Miller and wife Lisa, Dean Miller and wife Sherry; sister, Lennis Hove Blanton Fuller; twelve grandchildren, Kristen Caudill, Joshua Caudill, Morgan Davis, Andrew Davis, Olivia McKenney, Ava Miller, Sierra Bye, Mia Whisnant, Whitney Brown, Christopher Miller, Jessica Miller, Hunter Miller; ten great-grandchildren and many loving nephews and nieces.
Bobbe is preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Elizabeth (Bette) Hove Moseley, and F. DeWitt Miller, her ex-husband and father of her children.
She was a dedicated fan and follower of the singing group “The Lettermen” and made many special friends during her adventures, including the Lettermen themselves.
Her Celebration of Life service will be held at Ocean View United Methodist Church at 8400 East Oak Island Drive, Oak Island, NC 28465 at two o’clock in the afternoon.
