Ben C Bias

Mr. Bias, born in Logan, West Virginia on January 23, 1977, was the son of Reverend Tom Bias Jr. of Supply and the late Veda Rose Bias. He also mourned the loss of his brother, known as "Tom Tom" Bias, and his sister, Angie Bias Reaves, who preceded him in death.

Ben was a dedicated employee of the Public Utilities Department of Brunswick County, and his commitment to his job was evident to all. Beyond work, Ben deeply enjoyed the moments he spent with his family, including his numerous nieces and nephews. Ben held a special place in his heart for the precious moments spent with his son, whether it was bonding over video games, embarking on adventurous four-wheeler rides, or passionately coaching his little league team. Ben had a deep love for the Lord and found joy in singing old hymns alongside his family, fostering a strong spiritual connection through music.

Ben's hobbies, including his meticulous lawn care and unwavering dedication to keeping his personal and work vehicles in immaculate condition, were enduring reflections of his character that will be lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Ben gained fame among family and friends for his delicious fried turkeys during holiday gatherings.

Ben's warm and sociable nature left an indelible mark on countless lives, and his extensive network of friends and acquaintances attested to his affable personality. It seemed that wherever he ventured, he would inevitably encounter an old classmate, co-worker, or friend, a testament to the enduring friendships he cultivated throughout his life.

Survivors, in addition to his father, Reverend Tom Bias Jr., include his wife, Kristy Simmons Bias; a son, Coby Bias; and a brother, Kyle Bias (Angie) of Shallotte. His loving aunts Becky Rhodes (Kirby) and Claudia Ellis. Special nieces and nephews: Joseph Bias, Jacob Bias (Kristin), Jessica Bias Turner (Travis), Tomi Bias, Haley Bias Hester (Nigel), Haiden Bias, Adam Bias, Sarah Reaves, Katie Reaves, Aubree Bias, Joe Joe Bias, Alyssa Bias, Brynlee Voitelle, Jase, Jaynee & James "Jimbo" Turner, Kayleigh Tart, Dylan & Colton Edwards.

Pallbearers will be Mark Hewett, Ricky Hewett, Mark Thomas III, Michael Caison, Michael Quinn, Christopher "Beef" Benton, Jamie Brenner, Cory Carlisle and Ronnie Fulford. Honorary Pallbearers will be Colton Edwards, Dylan Edwards, Jack Edwards, Adam Bias, Joe Bias, Jacob Bias, Haiden Bias, Bobby Grainger, Cory Reaves, Kenny Williams, JoeJoe Bias, Jase Bias and Kirby Rhodes.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, October 7, 2023 at three o'clock in the afternoon at White Funeral and Cremation Services, Bolivia Chapel, with Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Entombment will follow in the Cape Fear Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from one o'clock to three o'clock on Saturday afternoon prior to the service.
