

Carson L. (Jake) Jacobs, age 74, of Supply, N.C. died Monday September 28, 2015 at SECU Hospice House of Bolivia, N.C. Mr. Jacobs was born May 8, 1941 in the Buckhead community of Columbus County and was the son of the late Manley and Geneva Freeman Jacobs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, William Allen Jacobs and Billy Jacobs, and two sisters, Videll White and Etta Melton. He was a US Air Force Veteran and a member of Union Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a member of the Coastline Volunteer Rescue Squad for many years. Mr. Jacobs owned and operated a marine construction company. Mr. Jacobs was married to Kathleen Fulford Jacobs in 1966 in Bladen County.
Mr. Jacobs is survived by his wife, Kathleen F. Jacobs; a daughter, Jean Machelle Hardee; a son, Rev. Sammy Jacobs and wife Nikki; grandchildren, Allisan Hardee, Amanda Jacobs, and Carson David Jacobs; sisters, Rena Jean Jacobs, Carlene Allen and husband F.M.; sister-in-law, Betty Galloway; brother-in-law, Leo Fulford; also, Travis Hayes, Michael Fulford, and James Fulford, whom he loved dearly and were like sons to him; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held Thursday October 1, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Union Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with Revs. Michael Jacobs Don Carter, and Sister Pricilla Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery located on Old Lake Rd. in the Buckhead Community of Columbus County.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at White Funeral & Cremation Service 603 Ocean Hwy. Supply and other times at their residence.
