I am so sorry for your loss! I can't even begin to imagine what you are feeling during this time. Ii'm sorry I haven't been over, but I know you have had so much company and I know you both needed your time. I have had you both on my mind ever since I heard the news. I remember those three little sweet boys when you first brought them to church. They were so blessed to have you as their parents and raised in a Godly home. I've never understood why we lose the good people in this world, but God knows.  Just know my heart, love & prayers go out to you and your family. You've just been on my mind so much! I wish I could go to the service but I have to work. I will be thinking & praying for yall during that special time and hope you find some peace through this! Love you both!

It has been over a week now, and it is still hard to believe you are gone. We miss you so much in section, and truly miss your humor. My prayers for your family during this terrible time. Hernandez Family,
I would first like to extend my deepest sympathies and prayers to your family during this difficult time.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and I will remember you son for the rest of my life.  My interactions with Dalton were always pleasant and light hearted.  He was a quiet and respectful Sailor who always did his job with honor, courage and commitment.  I had the privilege of serving alongside your son in the greatest NAVY in the world and the comradery we shared was second to none.   I will always remember him for his heart and my ability to put a smile on his face during our everyday interactions.  In our line of work, we spend just as much time with our peers and junior Sailors than we do with our own families.  Dalton was not only our shipmate; he was our brother-in-arms and family member.  Rest in peace Dalton, we your brothers and sisters have the watch.  God Bless you.

Dalton, we had been such great friends for a while, and to hear about the news last Wednesday was unbelievable.. Our friendship will be cherished forever, and our memories will be cherished forever. May you rest in piece Dalton. You will forever be missed and loved.

MA3 Hernandez, you will be greatly missed. You were one of the first few people I met here at TAMACO, I remember the first night I met you, pulling up in your Fox-4 red Mustang with the stereo blasting with that one sub and box taking up almost your entire back seat causing the battery to drain out, while you sat there vaping and smiling as nothing was wrong with the world. We all will miss the joking and laughter shared with you. We have the Watch.

I can't believe that you are gone. We may have not been close but when we stood post together you always made me laugh. You were a good guy and great sailor. You will be dearly missed here at TACAMO. We have the watch.

My heart shattered last Wednesday when I found out about your passing. You and I were not very close, but EVERY time I saw you, it always ended in laughter and smiles. You have no clue the impact you've made and left on us here at TACAMO. At this point, we can only keep each other strong and focused. I promise we will continue to serve in your honor and make you proud. Prayers to your biological family, and prayers to us here, your Navy family. We have the watch.

We have been praying for your family from the moment we heard.  As I was thinking of words to say, no words seem to be sufficient but HE reminded me HIS grace is.  We are praying for His grace and presence to keep you covered like a blanket. You have our love and prayers and are here for anything you need.
