Darryl Lynn Johns

He was preceded in death by both his parents and his brother, Joseph Johns of Charlotte.

He is survived by three sisters, Virginia Raynor (Jim) of Burlington, NC, Carol Raker (Lewis) of Midland, NC, and Tammy Boyce of Charlotte; three daughters, Shannon Johns Wynne (Adam) of Winnabow, Jessica B. Johns and fiancé Jon Wall of Winnabow, and Christina Lynn Adcock of Charlotte; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Darryl was a wandering soul who found his roots back in Brunswick County, NC, with his two eldest daughters and other family members. He attended New Hope Presbyterian Church as health permitted and loved being in Winnabow, lounging under the oak trees with his best canine friend Dixie Lou while surrounded by his loved ones.

A graveside service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Winnabow, with Pastor Lora Rissmiller officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in his memory to New Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund, PO Box 160 Winnabow, NC 28479 or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staff of SECU Lower Cape Fear Life Center in Bolivia, NC for their compassionate care as he journeyed through his final days here on earth.
