

Delbert MacLane Wolfe, 82, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2011. Delbert was the son of the late Thomas and Bessie Wolfe, and is also preceded by his four sisters. Mr. Wolfe is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie Benton Wolfe, his five daughters; Carolyn Yarbrough and husband Danny of Southport, Diane Wolfe of Wilmington, Angie Pierce of Rexton, VA, Gwen Wolfe and husband Michael Gibbs of Fairview Heights, IL, Trish Gonzalez of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, two brothers; Thomas H. Wolfe, Jr., and Ernest Wolfe, ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and numerous nieces and nephews. Delbert was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, was employed by the U.S. Coast Geodetic Survey. He worked a number of years with the Timmy Corporation, and later was manager of Quality Septic Tank Co. Mr. Wolfe was a longtime member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Loving husband and father, he left his earthly life as he lived it; surrounded by his girls.
The family will receive friends 4:00-5:30 PM, Wednesday, December 7, 2011, at Coble Ward-Smith Supply Chapel. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 8, 2011, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Rev. Anthony Clemmons officiating. Active pall bearers; Gary Sullivan, Rock McElveen, Mack Bell, Devone Edge, Darian Young, and Jackie Young. Honorary pall bearers; Tom Maultsby, Bill Lanier, Spencer Lanier, Durwood Hollis, and Roy Rogers. Interment to follow at Old Mt. Olive Church Cemetery, Bolivia, NC.
