Donald E. Hansen, 74, of Shallotte passed away peacefully at his home early Friday, April 13, 2012. Donald was the son of the late Olaf and Dora Hansen. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Margaret “Peggy” Willis Hansen, and his son, David Hansen of Chaswick, PA.
Mr. Hansen was a veteran of the Army Air Corp, a paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. He was a commercial fisherman in Alaska and also a Production Operator for Chevron USA. Donald and Peggy relocated to Shallotte in 2003.
Wonderful husband, father, and friend, Donald will be greatly missed and always lovingly remembered.
