Doris Jean Duncan

Doris Jean Duncan, age 81, of Supply, NC passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 in Bolivia, NC surrounded by family. She was born in Brunswick County on February 6, 1941. Doris was a loving, intelligent, hard-working, honest and devoted sister, mother and grandmother. A woman who will be missed by so many. God has now called her home to rest in his loving arms. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church in Supply, NC.

Doris was preceded in death by parents, Vance and Blanche Hewett; husband, James H. Duncan; son, John L. Galloway; brothers, Danny, Ted, Rozel, Billy, Thomas and Edward Hewett; two grandsons.

Survivors include daughters, Debra White (Bruce) of Bolivia, NC, Diana Thornton of Marion, SC; sons, Allen Galloway (Lisa) of Indianapolis, IN, Daniel Duncan (Melissa) of Bolivia NC; sister, Linda Tripp of Supply, NC; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 5th, at White Funeral and Cremation Service in Bolivia at one o'clock in the afternoon. Rev. Bradley Bullard officiating. Graveside service will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Supply, NC. Family will receive friends two hours prior to service.
